Do You Need Root Canal Treatment?

There are usually several warning signs of a badly decayed or damaged tooth, including:
- Persistent dental sensitivity
- Pain when biting down
- Noticeable discoloration
- Swollen, inflamed, or tender gums
- A pimple-like bump on the gums
If you start to experience these (or any other abnormal symptoms), we strongly recommend scheduling an emergency exam with Dr. Silfa. That way, we can take a look at your tooth and determine the best way to restore its look, health, and function.
The Root Canal Process

Once anesthesia is administered and the tooth is isolated, Dr. Silfa will begin. The first step is to make a small opening in the crown of the tooth before clearing the structure and nearby canals. After removing the pulp and sanitizing the tooth, it will be filled with gutta-percha to create a tight seal before a custom-made dental crown is placed over the top. Since we have an in-house dental lab, the entire treatment process is more seamless and stress-free than ever!
The Benefits of Getting a Root Canal

Root canal treatment is often believed to be a painful procedure, but this is simply not true. Dr. Silfa and our team are here to dispel this myth by stating that, in addition to being virtually painless, it’s a necessary procedure designed to eliminate pain and remove the infection. It also has an incredibly high success rate, it can save your tooth from needing to be extracted, and the final result is flawless thanks to lifelike dental crowns.
