Read below to learn more about our Commack dental team members:
Alexandra, Registered Dental Hygienist
Bringing over 15 years of experience to our team, Alexandra says that building relationships with her patients is the highlight of her job. She takes pride in creating a comfortable and trusting environment where they feel heard and cared for. Helping a patient through their dental anxieties is deeply gratifying because she knows she can make their experience more pleasant and positive. Overall, her work allows her to make a tangible difference every day. It’s more than just cleaning teeth; it’s about helping people lead healthier, happier lives.
Alexandra completed her dental training at Briarcliffe College, earning an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. While there, she was on the Dean’s List and President’s List and was the recipient of the Compassionate Caregiver Award. Prior to joining us, she worked in multiple practices in New York alongside both general dentists and specialists.
Alexandra comes from a large Italian family, which she says greatly influenced her values and work ethic. Growing up, she helped her aunt with her candy store in the summer, and in the winter, she was with her mom who operated a mobile dental practice that provided care to underserved communities. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys gardening and travels as much as possible. Fun fact: She used to be a competitive figure skater and says this taught her a lot about perseverance and commitment.

Marlen, Dental Assistant
Marlen has a tremendous appreciation for dentistry as it lets her combine her technical ability and hospitality to serve our patients in a truly unique way. Everyone deserves a beautiful smile, and to be able to be part of the dental process and change lives is really special to her. Her goal as a dental assistant is to make her patients comfortable and give them the best experience possible in our office.
Marlen’s dental career started while she was still in high school, during which she completed 900 hours of dental assisting. She went on to graduate from Barry Tech, and over the years, she has learned how to always be on the cutting edge of dental technology while delivering the highest level of treatment for every single patient. Today, she has training in dental photography, 3D printing and design, and is continuing to learn.
