Wilka, Dental Office Manager

Wilka absolutely loves getting to know every patient, understanding what they want for their smile, what their concerns are, and what treatments they're interested in. She wants to make sure our patients are comfortable and feel welcomed in our office by providing a clean environment, great customer service, and clear communication.

Wilka has a bachelor’s degree in bioscience, and she became a certified dental assistant in June 2006. Her passion for dentistry has only grown since then! She has attended the Wendy Briggs Hygiene Diamonds Seminar to help better our new patient experience and learn how to provide the best hygiene care.

In her free time, Wilka likes to hang out with her kids, go for hikes, and experiment with new recipes in the kitchen. Taking some time out to relax and do things that she enjoys helps her come back to work the next day feeling fully recharged.

Marlen, Dental Assistant

Marlen has a tremendous appreciation for dentistry as it lets her combine her technical ability and hospitality to serve our patients in a truly unique way. Everyone deserves a beautiful smile, and to be able to be part of the dental process and change lives is really special to her. Her goal as a dental assistant is to make her patients comfortable and give them the best experience possible in our office.

Marlen’s dental career started while she was still in high school, during which she completed 900 hours of dental assisting. She went on to graduate from Barry Tech, and over the years, she has learned how to always be on the cutting edge of dental technology while delivering the highest level of treatment for every single patient. Today, she has training in dental photography, 3D printing and design, and is continuing to learn.

When she isn’t at work, Marlen loves to go to the gym, run, spend time with her dog (Coco), and see family and friends. She also enjoys reading, painting, cooking, riding horses, and watching movies.

Tiana, Dental Treatment Coordinator

Tiana started in dentistry at age 18, and she fell in love with helping others regain their confidence and self-esteem. She says that being able to give someone the ability to eat and smile again is truly awe-inspiring. Her philosophy on patient care and treatment is the Golden Rule--treat others how you would like to be treated. To ensure our patients have a positive and comfortable experience, she prioritizes clear communication, education, and a welcoming environment.

Tiana attended BOCES for dental assistant training, and she is currently enrolled at Farmingdale State College. She has previous experience in general dentistry, orthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, endodontics, pediatrics, and prosthodontics. She says that healthcare is an ever-changing field that requires all involved to grow in knowledge, which is why she stays up to date by consistently reading accredited sources from the ADA (American Dental Association).

Outside of the office, Tiana’s hobbies include hiking with her dog, taking cycling classes, playing tennis in the warmer months, watching movies (comedies preferred), and learning (ex: languages).
