Dr. Silfa is deeply committed to giving back through community outreach and service. He regularly volunteers his time and expertise to provide free dental care to communities with limited access to care, both locally and abroad. Through mission trips, he works to restore not only oral health but also confidence, helping individuals feel seen, valued, and empowered. For Dr. Silfa, dentistry is more than a profession; it is a calling—an opportunity to uplift lives, foster human connection, and make a lasting difference where it’s needed most.
Mission Involvement
Our Mission Beyond the Office: Giving Back with Medical Wings International at Silfa Dental Aesthetics, service isn’t just part of what we do, it’s who we are. For years, Dr. Publio Silfa has proudly volunteered with Medical Wings International, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free medical and dental care to underserved communities around the world. These mission trips have allowed Dr. Silfa to give back through his greatest passion, restoring health and dignity through dentistry. A Family Tradition Rooted in Service in 2023, this mission took on even deeper meaning when Dr. Silfa’s daughter, Isabelle, joined a trip to Peru. What began as a chance to serve alongside her father became a life-changing experience. Isabelle, deeply moved by the stories of patients and the power of dentistry to transform lives, discovered her calling. Today, she’s on her journey to become a dentist herself, carrying forward a legacy of compassion and purpose. Adding to this story of service is Veronica Castro, Dr. Silfa’s wife and a committed physician assistant, who provided family medical care to children and adults during the same mission. From addressing chronic health issues to offering general medicine, Veronica’s presence helped bring healing and hope to families who rarely have access to care. What we do with Medical Wings International Each year, Dr. Silfa and his family join an inspiring team of doctors, dentists, assistants, students, and volunteers from across the United States to provide:
- Comprehensive dental care
- General and family medicine
- Eyecare and vision support
- Pharmaceutical care and medical screenings
- Donation of essential items like wheelchairs, hygiene kits, and medical supplies
These trips remind us of what truly matters: human connection, compassion, and community. Together, we learn, grow, and give.
